COMMENTS:
  • Your presentation was the best of the conference.  In fact, I think it's the best PD I've had in the past three years. (EA Conference, Red Deer)
  • I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and will pass on Mrs. Huff’s information to my school principal - I would love to have Mrs. Huff present at our school. (ERLC comment)
  • I think Sue is a genuine person and her own hands-on experience, and not being a clinical professional, adds credibility to her presentation.
  • I have so much more to learn. This seems simple and effective and I will certainly will give it a try.
  • As a high school student, I was the youngest one here. My friend group is quite close knitted and I feel like we need to know how to support each other. I never had the confidence to be the person to console or help someone who was going through something, but I know now I can. I'm aiming to be a teacher in the future so this seminar was very relevant to my career. Thank you so much!
  • I learned that I need to de-escalate emotions before trying to problem solve and set boundaries as my son likely "turtles" and doesn't actually hear me and shuts down with my previous approach.
  • Thanks. Your personal touch helps us better understand.
  • I used this in my classroom the next day and it made a difference with our complex kiddos. Truly amazing! Thank you.

Comments from people who have heard Sue speak on eating disorders:
We were so grateful to have you in to present.  Our students were enthralled with your message and personal account with eating disorder.  Your presentation was very helpful and engaging.  This particular topic can be quite sensitive to adolescents-especially females.  The presentation was respectful, educational, and well rounded to suit the needs of the learners that you presented to.  Thank you for all your suggestions prior to the presentation.  You did a fantastic job of educating our young people at Kipohtakaw Education Center.                                                                                                               - Leslee Mills, Teacher,  Kipohtakaw Education Center, Alexander First Nation
